Sometimes you can be approached by contractors offering to do work and they promise insurance will cover all costs. Before signing up to anything, contact your Riverside insurance agent. Unfortunately in many states, there are instances of contractors taking advantage of residents after storms.
These unscrupulous contractors prey on unsuspecting homeowners by cold calling and offering services that they promise will not cost a cent, since the homeowners insurance will cover the damage. Sadly, when contacting the insurance company, the homeowners find they are not in fact covered.

There is often a spate of similar offers made to the owners of neighboring properties. The contractors may offer to do work on your roof, claiming there is storm damage which requires reroofing or repairs. They work on a neighborhood area so they can appear legitimate since they rely on one neighbor telling another of their good fortune in having repairs done for virtually nothing.
After a storm, if you suspect damage, you should contact your Riverside insurance agent. He or she will be able to advise you on the coverage you may be entitled to and the process involved in having the problem assessed. Never sign any contracts with contractors before speaking with your insurance agent!
